The Four I's
The four I's are my mantra to living a full connected life in a digital first world and also explain the type of content you will see on this website and my other channels. They may seem not unrelated but by focusing on these 4 areas I have seen great improvements in my life.
Investigation: We must be curious about the emerging technologies to better understand their downfalls and their benefits. I am not against technology but it needs to be used responsibly and consumed through the proper lense. Otherwise you risk losing your connection to yourself, who you truly are, and what your purpose is.
Intention: In a world where every single thing you interact with is fighting for your attention we must learn to set clear intentions behind everything we use and everything we consume. Technology needs to be a part of our lives, but it needs to be done intentionally.
Intuition: Our inner guidance is more powerful than any outside influence no matter how profound it may appear. The greatest minds in our history did not get their ideas and thoughts from others, they came from deep within themselves. All of us need to learn to quiet the outside world so we can reconnect with our most powerful tool.
Introspection: There is no time in our digital lives to sit with our thoughts, it has become an uncomfortable and not socially acceptable practice to just sit and be. Don't believe me? Next time you go to a coffee shop just sit there with only your coffee and nothing else and notice the types of looks you get. Introspection is critical for us to take in new information without losing our core beliefs and core purpose. When we don't look inwards we take on every piece of new information and wear it like a piece of clothing until we no longer recognize ourselves.
